Folding bikes are rapidly gaining popularity as the bike of choice in most urban centres whether be it for daily commuting; vacationing or just out for a weekend adventure.  They offer the versatility of owing one no matter where you live as they are perfect for apartment or condo dwellers, as well as acreage owners.  Having the uniques of being able to fit anywhere from the front coat closet to the trunk of most vehicles you are able to make a split decision on when and where you would like to ride.

If you live in the middle of a large city it is an easier way to get around as you do not have to worry with rush hour delays, parking or road construction.  If you are on an acreage you have the option to drive into the city, park at any free parking lot and bike into work, not only do you save parking costs, the hassel of parking and driving in traffic but you also get your daily exercise.

TERN Bikes (coming this May, 2012)

Tern Bicycles started with with Dahon bikes. Joshua Hon, son of Dahon founder David Hon, founded Tern Bicycles in 2011 as he broke away from Dahon folding bikes to start his own company. Although the two companies produce similar looking products,Tern folding bikes use an improved hinge design and nicer components to offer a line of folding bicycles that are not only more easily serviced but generally provide a superior ride quality.
